We currently intend to concentrate our efforts on technology and software infrastructure companies whose products and services target financial services, real estate and asset management companies. We believe our management team’s expertise lends itself well to pursuing platforms related to the financial services, real estate, asset management, among others, but we are not required to complete our initial business combination with a business in these industries and, as a result, we may pursue a business combination outside of these industries. We expect to pursue both domestic and global businesses. We do intend to acquire companies that have a clear path to success in the public markets.
Shawn Matthews, chairman and CEO, has over 30 years of financial services experience. He is also the founder and chief investment officer of Hondius Capital Management, an alternative investment firm founded in 2019. Mr. Matthews previously was the CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. from 2009-2018.
Steven Bischoff, president and CFO, has over 25 years of financial services experience. He is also the chief operating officer of Hondius Capital Management. From 2003 through 2007, Mr. Bischoff was employed with Cantor Fitzgerald, where he was hired as the head of Fixed Income Trading and subsequently promoted to co-COO of Capital Markets.
(Note: HCM III Acquisition Corp. filed its S-1 on June 6, 2025, for its SPAC IPO – 22.0 million units at $10.00 each – to raise $220.0 million. Each unit consists of one Class A ordinary share and one-third of one redeemable warrant.)
