(Incorporated in Delaware)
We are developing a small modular nuclear reactor. We are a U.S.-based multinational nuclear energy company with its principal focus on nuclear power generation and an expanding presence in adjacent clean energy generation solutions and long-duration energy storage. Our founder, Dr. Krishna P. Singh, a widely recognized inventor and entrepreneur, has led the company since its inception in 1986. Our innovative solutions extend across a full spectrum of disciplines applicable to nuclear power plants, including design, engineering validations, licensing, manufacturing, site construction, commissioning, operations and decommissioning. Many of our clients are Fortune 500 companies and among the largest in their respective countries. We operate on five continents through 13 operation centers and we have a client base that included more than 150 commercial nuclear reactors, as of March 31, 2026.
We have four major business lines: legacy nuclear services – spent fuel storage and transportation casks, heat exchange equipment and decommissioning; small modular reactor development; plant restart operations and related engineering and manufacturing services.
We have developed the SMR-300, a Generation III+ pressurized water small modular reactor design. We were the only SMR developer selected by the U.S. Department of Energy in December 2025 for its coveted Tier 1 First Mover Award, which we expect will provide us a $400 million grant to accelerate deployment of our first dual-unit SMR-300 plant (named Pioneer One and Pioneer Two) at our existing Palisades site in Michigan, subject to certain conditions, including the negotiation and execution of a funding agreement. Based on our knowledge of the emerging SMR industry, we believe that Pioneer One and Pioneer Two will be among the first SMRs commercially operating in the United States.
We own the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant in Covert, Michigan. The plant was shut down in 2022. The plant’s restart – a project in progress – is financed in part by a U.S. Department of Energy loan guarantee facility of up to $1.5 billion. We are working on installing two units – Pioneer One and Pioneer Two – at the Palisades site in partnership with Hyundai Engineering & Construction under a Build-Own-and-Operate model.
The company holds the rights to four more former nuclear plant sites – Oyster Creek, Pilgrim, Indian Point and Big Rock Point.
Note: Net income and revenue are for the 12 months that ended on March 31, 2026.
(Note: Holtec Nuclear Corp. filed its S-1 for its IPO on July 10, 2026, without disclosing the terms. The IPO’s proceeds are estimated at $100 million, a placeholder figure. Some IPO pros have projected that Holtec Nuclear’s IPO could raise between $1.5 billion and $2.0 billion.)
