Social Capital Suvretta Holdings Corp. I is the first of four new biotech-focused blank-check companies, or special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs), created in 2021 by a partnership of Chamath Palihapitiya, the founder and current managing partner of Social Capital, and Kishan (a/k/a Kishen) Mehta, the portfolio manager of the Averill strategy at Suvretta. Mr. Palihapitiya is the chairman of the board of directors and the CEO of all four of the Social Capital Suvretta SPACs (I-IV) while Mr. Mehta is the president and a director of each of these four SPACs under the Social Capital Suvretta name.
