We intend to focus on opportunities that capitalize on the expertise and ability of our team, particularly our executive officers, to identify, acquire and operate a business in the broadly defined sustainability industry. This industry includes, but is not limited to, energy and power (with a focus on renewable energy, biofuels and energy storage), resource management (including energy efficiency, smart grid and green / smart buildings), transportation (including mobility and fueling / charging infrastructure), environmental services (including waste management, pollution control and recycling), water, agriculture / food and advanced materials / chemicals (collectively, “Sustainability”) in the United States and other developed countries.

We believe the sustainability industry has the potential to undergo profound changes similar to other industries in the past, such as the transportation industry with airline deregulation in the 1970s and telecom industry following the emergence of wireless technology in the 1990s.

William Quinn, our chairman, is the founder and managing partner of Pearl Energy Investment Management. Christopher Sorrells, our CEO, is the lead director of the Renewable Energy Group (REGI) and a former operating partner of Natural Gas Partners’ NGP Energy Technology Partners.
