The IPO Buzz: Lyntris (LYNX) Cuts IPO & Prices it at $17.50 – Below Range – & Stock Falls

Lyntris (LYNX) slashed its IPO’s size at pricing to 17 million shares – down from 24 million shares in the prospectus – and priced the deal at $17.50 – $1.50 below the bottom of the $19.00-to-$22.00 range in the prospectus – to raise $297.5 million on Tuesday night, Aug. 18, 2026. Those numbers represent a cut of about 40 percent in the IPO’s size.  At pricing, Lyntris had a market cap of $1.89 billion.

Of the 17 million shares in the IPO, Lyntris offered 5.71 million shares and the selling stockholders – including Trive Capital – sold 11.29 million shares. Trive Capital, a Dallas-based private equity firm, created Lyntris this year – 2026 – by combining two other firms in a rollup.

Lyntris Inc.’s stock (LYNX) slid – opening at $15.50 – $2.00 below its IPO price – for an 11.43 percent drop when it started trading on the New York Stock Exchange late Wednesday morning – Aug. 19, 2026.

At the closing bell, Lyntris Inc.’s (LYNX) stock was at $15.01 – down $2.49 from its $17.50 IPO price – in its first day of NYSE trading. Volume totaled about 10.68 million shares.

Evercore ISI, Citigroup and Guggenheim Partners led the joint book-running team. BofA Securities served as the joint book-running manager. Baird, Raymond James and William Blair acted as book-runners.

Falls Church, Virginia-based Lyntris Inc. provides solutions for defense tech connectivity for military customers, including the U.S Department of Defense and U.S. allies, the prospectus said. Its solutions focus on three areas: sensor architecture; sensor hardware, and data software platforms. Its solutions “are used in missile defense; maritime domain awareness, and space ISR and communications missions.”

Lyntris intends to use some of the IPO’s proceeds to repay $60 million in debt under its new revolving credit facility, the prospectus said.
