The IPO Buzz: Lyntris (LYNX Proposed) – Defense Tech Firm – Set for Solo Flight

Trive Capital-backed Lyntris (LYNX Proposed) – a defense tech start-up – is the only IPO set for lift-off for the week of Aug. 17, 2026. That’s not unusual for mid-August. It’s traditionally a slow period for the IPO market – peak vacation time for many IPO pros and traders in the countdown to the Labor Day holiday weekend. One SPAC IPO is also set for pricing this week, while another SPAC deal may get done, according to the IPO Calendar.

Let’s take a look at the Lyntris (LYNX Proposed) IPO:. 24 million shares at a price range of $19.00 to $22.00 to raise $492 million, if priced at the $20.50 mid-point. Under those terms, the market cap would be $2.4 billion. This is a New York Stock Exchange listing.

Evercore ISI and Citigroup are leading the joint book-running team. Guggenheim Securities, BofA Securities, Baird, Raymond James and  William Blair are also joint book-runners, according to the prospectus.

Of the 24 million shares in the IPO, the company is offering only 4.18 million shares while the selling shareholders – predominantly Trive Capital and related entities – are offering 19.12 million shares, the prospectus said. The company will not receive any proceeds from the sale of the selling shareholders’ stock.

Based in Falls Church, Virginia, Lyntris was established this year – 2026 – when two Trive Capital-founded businesses – Accelint and Vitesse – were combined, the prospectus said. Trive Capital, a Dallas-based private equity firm, created both Accelint and Vitesse as the result of several mergers.

Lyntris provides solutions for defense tech connectivity for military customers, including the U.S Department of Defense and U.S. allies, the prospectus said. Its solutions focus on three areas: sensor architecture; sensor hardware, and data software platforms. Its solutions “are used in missile defense; maritime domain awareness, and space ISR and communications missions.”

The company is not profitable, according to the prospectus. Lyntris had a net loss of $11.8 million on revenue of $450.84 million for the 12 months that ended June 30, 2026.
