The IPO Buzz: Anthropic & Aggreko Stir Anticipation – After Labor Day

Anticipation is the word in the IPO market. Anthropic is likely to unveil its first public SEC filing for the Claude AI maker’s blockbuster IPO next week – possibly on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026, when Wall Street gets back to work after the Labor Day holiday. Anthropic’s IPO could raise as much as $100 billion, according to the IPO pros.  San Francisco-based Anthropic is expected to list on the NASDAQ.

Aggreko, however, could beat Anthropic to the punch. Aggreko (AGKO Proposed), is a Glasgow-based company that provides modular power and temperature control equipment for rent. A week ago, Aggreko filed its S-1 for its IPO. No terms were disclosed. Estimated proceeds were $100 million, a placeholder figure. Some IPO experts, however, believe that Aggreko’s IPO might raise up to $1.5 billion. Aggreko is a New York Stock Exchange listing.

Stay tuned.
