The IPO Buzz: SK Hynix (SKHY) Launches $28.13B U.S. Offering – NASDAQ Uplisting

SK hynix Inc. (SKHY Proposed), a South Korean semiconductor company listed on the KRX KOSPI Market under code “000660,” unveiled the terms of its blockbuster $28.13 billion U.S. public offering – a NASDAQ Uplisting – early today (Monday, July 6, 2026.) This is an offering of 177.9 million American Depositary Shares (ADS). Each ADS represents one-tenth (1/10) of an ordinary share. That works out to about US$158.14 per ADS based on an exchange rate of 1,533.44 Korean won per US$1.00.

Worth Noting: Some are calling the SK hynix deal an IPO. It is not. The company’s stock already trades on the KOSPI in South Korea.

BofA Securities, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs and J.P.Morgan are the global lead coordinators of the SK hynix public offering.

Baillie Gifford Overseas Limited, Coatue Management and Situational Awareness Partners – the three cornerstone investors – have indicated an interest in buying up to $7 billion of the ADS at the U.S. public offering price. Their combined indication of interest represents 24.88 percent – nearly 25 percent – of the deal – if it’s priced at US$158.14.
